The Nintendo DS managed much better in its first year (or first year plus a little). The DS games I'd want to try: Animal Crossing: Wild World, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Meteos, Nintendogs, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, and Electroplankton. That, plus the ability to play GameBoy Advance games makes the Nintendo DS a much more interesting handheld right now.
On the other hand, at least the PSP won't be getting Tingle RPG.

Well, Capcom's got that uh, "Heroes Collection", or whatever. Megaman Powered Up, Street Fighter Alpha Zero 3 or whatever the hell it's called. Also, Konami has Suikoden 1&2, but I doubt that's getting a localization. I think Capcom is also porting Breath of Fire 3 to the PSP...

It would be quite a stretch to even call Tomb Raider: Legend even "the least bit appealing".

Well, Tomb Raider is one game series that's going to get the benefit of the doubt from me. You can hold my feet to the flames if I don't do my job when it comes out.
