Though I'll readily admit I'm dupe enough to get excited with so much as, "Druids will be able to use the '/smoke' emote with the WoW 1.11 path!", I'm not sure what about the Julius mode from that review is so exciting. Knowing Matt has a predilection for finishing games COMpletely, over and over again, I suppose it's just that you can reach a touch more of the game the second time through and that the replay seems more thought out than usual. More than that? Context if that is the reason, perhaps?
And where my curiosity is most raised is... What about this replay mode makes shelling out $120 for a DS Lite worthwhile? Personally, I've still got plenty of handheld gaming left in my $25 GBA, and I hope your PSP has a bit left in it! What is it with CV that's so alluring?! ;^) (Yes, a smilie, dang it)

Castlevania is just one of the many good reasons to shell out $120 for a DS Lite.
Sure, the castle in Julius mode is the same, but the way the new charaters play inside that castle is what makes it another compelling experience. With no inventory and magic spells, it plays a lot more like a hybrid of SotN and Castlevania 3 then the more thought out puzzle solving of the regular mode. I've played Julius mode for a little while, but I'm saving it until the memory of the casle fades a bit more.
